The Darchei Noam Congregation Podcast

Welcome to the official podcast of Darchei Noam Congregation, where ancient paths meet present-day purpose. Each week, we share Spirit-filled Shabbat teachings rooted in the Torah, the Prophets, and the New Covenant—revealing the unity of Scripture through the lens of Yeshua the Messiah.

Our monthly seminars go deeper, addressing foundational topics such as replacement theology, covenant identity, and reconciliation between Jewish and Gentile believers. Whether you’re part of the remnant in Israel or the nations, we invite you to grow with us in truth, humility, and hope as we prepare the way for the return of our King.

“Stand at the crossroads and look… ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” —Jeremiah 6:16

In Parashat Tzav, we step into the daily life of the priest—not in moments of glory, but in the quiet, demanding rhythm of service. From clearing ashes to tending the continual fire, the work of the kohen reveals that holiness is not found only in the extraordinary, but in faithful obedience in the ordinary.
This portion invites us to consider what it means to serve Adonai consistently—with humility, discipline, and a heart that remains devoted day after day. As we reflect on the continual offerings, the flow of blood, and the moments of thanksgiving, we begin to see how these patterns point beyond themselves—shaping a life that draws near to God and reflects His holiness.

In Parashat Vayikra, Adonai calls from within Israel’s midst, inviting His people to draw near through the korbanot. These offerings reveal that nearness to a holy God comes through humility, surrender, and restored relationship.

In Parashat Vayakhel–Pekudei, Moses gathers the people of Israel, reminding them first of the holiness of Shabbat before inviting them to bring offerings for the building of the Mishkan. The people respond with generous hearts, and the artisans appointed by G-d craft the Tabernacle and its sacred vessels. When the work is completed and everything is set in its place, the glory of Adonai fills the Mishkan, revealing that the obedience, unity, and devotion of the people prepared a dwelling place for His presence.

In this Month's Seminar, Part 2 of Reading Scriptures with Covenant Responsibility, we explore Revelation, Romans 2, Galatians 3, and Hebrews 8:13 through the covenant story of Israel and the revelation of Yeshua. Together, these passages help correct misreadings that have obscured the Jewish roots of the faith, distorted Paul’s message, and confused the meaning of the New Covenant. Above all, this podcast calls us back to a faithful interpretive lens that honors Israel and upholds G-d’s enduring covenant faithfulness.
In these challenging times, your tzedakah gift—no matter the size— will bring relief and tangible care to brothers and sisters in Israel.

In this episode, we explore the Haftarah for Ki Tisa, where Elijah confronts the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel and calls Israel back to the covenant. As in the sin of the golden calf, this passage exposes the danger of idolatry, the call to wholehearted loyalty to the G-d of Israel, and the power of His vindication before all the people.

This week in Parashat Tetzaveh, we take time to picture the Mishkan as it would have looked once fully constructed — the sacred space, the vessels within it, and the materials from which they were made.
As we consider the gold, the fine linen, the oil, and the altar, we are reminded that every detail was intentional. Nothing was random. Each element reflected holiness and the desire for God’s presence to dwell among His people.

Parashat Terumah

Thursday Feb 26, 2026

In Parashat Terumah, we move from Sinai’s thunder to something deeply intimate — G-d asking for a dwelling place among His people.
The Eternal One, who redeemed Israel by grace, now invites them to give freely from what He first placed in their hands. The Mishkan is not simply a structure; it is a house of meeting, a shadow of heavenly realities, and a picture of how G-d desires to dwell with His redeemed community.
In this episode, we explore the sacred fundraiser, the sacred contrast, and the sacred shadow — and how the Tabernacle teaches us not only about heaven, but about Messiah, about covenant faithfulness, and about what it means to live as those among whom He dwells.

After the thunder of Sinai comes something unexpected—case laws. Damages, servants, property, responsibility.
But in the ancient Near East, law was theology. It revealed the character of a nation’s god. So when the G-d of Israel gives laws in Mishpatim, He is revealing Himself.
These are not random regulations. They protect the vulnerable, limit power, and build a just society rooted in redemption. The God who freed slaves now shapes a community where justice reflects His heart.
Parashat Mishpatim shows us that covenant life is not only experienced in dramatic moments—it is lived out in everyday faithfulness.

In part 1 of this monthly seminar, we begin an important and, at times, painful conversation.
Throughout history, certain passages in the New Testament have been read in ways that detached them from their Jewish context. When interpreted outside of covenant, outside of first-century Jewish reality, and outside of the internal family language of the Jewish world in which Yeshua and His disciples lived, these verses have too often fueled hostility toward the Jewish people.
As noted in historical analysis , many scholars and rabbis have observed how particular readings of texts in Matthew, John, and 1 Thessalonians have contributed to anti-Jewish attitudes and even violence over the centuries.
Today, we will look carefully at passages such as:
Matthew 23:31–33
Matthew 27:25
John 8:44
John 11:45–53
1 Thessalonians 2:14–1
Our goal is not to dismiss Scripture, and certainly not to weaken its authority. Rather, our goal is to read it faithfully — within its covenant framework, within its Jewish setting, and within the larger story of God’s enduring promises to Israel.
Reading Scripture with covenant responsibility means we refuse to weaponize the text.It means we listen to Rav Shaul as a Torah-faithful Jew.It means we remember that internal prophetic rebuke within Israel is not a license for external condemnation of the Jewish people.
When Scripture is removed from covenant context, it can wound. When restored to covenant context, it heals.

This week’s parasha, Yitro, brings us to one of the most intimate moments in Scripture—the revelation at Mount Sinai. But before the thunder, before the Ten Words were spoken, something deeply relational was already taking place. God wasn’t just giving commandments; He was drawing His people into covenant love.
In this episode, we’ll explore how Sinai is portrayed not merely as law-giving but as a betrothal—a divine engagement between God and Israel. We’ll see how Yitro, the outsider priest of Midian, models humility and recognition of Israel’s God, and how the Torah itself becomes the ketubah, the marriage covenant that defines faithfulness until the day the Bridegroom and His bride dwell together in fullness.
