In Ki Tavo, Israel stands at the threshold of the Land, called to choose between blessing and curse, life and death. These words are not only for them, but for us. Each choice we make today shapes our readiness to live fully in Adonai’s promises tomorrow. This portion calls us to practice covenant living now, so we may walk securely in the Land of promise.

Parashat Ki Tetzei (Deut. 21:10–25:19) calls us to live out holiness not in theory, but in the details of daily life. Through the Torah, the Prophets, and the words of Messiah Yeshua, we see that covenant faithfulness touches every sphere of life and equips us to stand as God’s people in a world still scarred by violence, corruption, and rebellion.

This teaching explores the heart of Parashat Shoftim (Deuteronomy 16:18–21:9), where Israel is called to establish judges and officers and to build a society grounded in justice. We walk through the Torah’s principles — impartial judgment, refusal of bribes, the need for reliable witnesses, and the call to investigate thoroughly. We also consider the weight of penalties, including capital cases, and the unique ritual for unsolved murders that placed responsibility on the whole community. The teaching then connects these foundations to the Body of Messiah: Yeshua upholding justice with the woman caught in adultery, His words on “binding and loosing,” and the vision of a believing Beit Din. Through Shoftim, we glimpse how Adonai’s justice shapes Israel and foreshadows Messiah’s righteous reign from Jerusalem.

In Parashat Re’eh, Moshe reminds Israel that entering the Land is not just about inheritance, but about obedience. Blessing flows when we take hold of God’s instructions — shaping our worship, our justice, and our daily life in the Land He has given. Together we’ll reflect on how these ancient words remain a guide for living faithfully before Him today.

Shalom, and welcome to Darchei Noam Congregation’s Torah podcast. In Parashat Ekev, Moses reminds Israel that God’s covenant does not end with one generation — it continues across time, stronger than death itself. This enduring covenant binds generation to generation, carrying the faithfulness of God from the wilderness to the words of the prophets. Together, we’ll explore how His promises remain unbroken and why they still speak with power and urgency into our lives today.

Shalom and welcome to the Darchei Noam Congregation podcast.
This week’s episode brings us to the opening portion of the book of Deuteronomy—Parashat Devarim.
In Devarim, Moses begins his final address to the children of Israel. As they stand on the threshold of the Promised Land, he recalls their journey, recounts their failures, and renews the covenant. But this is more than a historical review. It is a call to remember, to trust, and to walk in obedience—not out of obligation, but as a response to the steadfast love of the Holy One.
In this teaching, we’ll explore how Deuteronomy is structured not as a law code, but as a covenantal document, patterned after ancient Near Eastern treaties. We’ll see how this pattern underscores the relationship between God and His people—a relationship marked by love, discipline, promise, and faithfulness.
We’ll also consider how this portion speaks to us today as a community called to live in covenant—rooted in the Torah, walking in the footsteps of Yeshua, and preparing to inherit the promises of God.

Torah Portion: Numbers 25:10–30:1 | Haftarah: 1 Kings 18:46–19:21
In this episode, we explore the passion, preparation, and promise that mark Israel’s journey toward inheriting the Land. From the bold act of Pinchas, to the courageous appeal of the daughters of Zelophehad, to the divine appointment of Joshua as Israel’s next leader, Parashat Pinchas introduces us to a generation zealous for G-d’s inheritance.
Together, we reflect on the dual meaning of inheritance—nachalah, the gracious gift passed down, and morashah, the legacy that must be actively acquired. We uncover timeless lessons about obedience, courage, and spiritual warfare, both visible and invisible. And we examine how faithfulness to the Torah remains a crowning inheritance for all Israel—available to anyone who will take hold of it.
Whether you’re facing battles of your own, longing for deeper purpose, or standing in the gap for the next generation, this teaching calls us to live zealously for the inheritance G-d has prepared.

In this week’s episode, we explore Parashat Balak as more than a Torah portion—it’s a prophetic warning for our generation. Though Balak hires Bil’am to curse Israel, G-d overrides every scheme and releases blessing instead: “How lovely are your tents, O Jacob…” (Numbers 24:5–6). Yet the danger wasn’t only in curses—it came through spiritual compromise, temptation, and cultural infiltration.
We expose what Yeshua called “the teaching of Bil’am”—a spirit that still seeks to weaken G-d’s people through appeasement, false balance, and covenant betrayal. From the siege of Jerusalem in 1948 to the front lines in Gaza today, we trace the same battle between covenant faithfulness and resistance. The road of Bil’am may look religious, but only the narrow road of Yeshua leads to life.
Will we walk in covenant loyalty—even when it costs? Will we bless what G-d has blessed, even when the world rages?
