The Darchei Noam Congregation Podcast
Welcome to the official podcast of Darchei Noam Congregation, where ancient paths meet present-day purpose. Each week, we share Spirit-filled Shabbat teachings rooted in the Torah, the Prophets, and the New Covenant—revealing the unity of Scripture through the lens of Yeshua the Messiah. Our monthly seminars go deeper, addressing foundational topics such as replacement theology, covenant identity, and reconciliation between Jewish and Gentile believers. Whether you’re part of the remnant in Israel or the nations, we invite you to grow with us in truth, humility, and hope as we prepare the way for the return of our King. “Stand at the crossroads and look… ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” —Jeremiah 6:16

On 29 November 1947, as the United Nations voted to partition the Land of Israel, Jewish communities celebrated the opening of the door to statehood after nearly two thousand years of exile. Yet beneath the political drama, a deeper story was unfolding. That same Shabbat, Israel read Torah portions describing Jacob’s return to the Land, and in Jerusalem, the first fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls— including the scroll of Isaiah—came into Jewish hands. In this episode, we revisit 29 November 1947 not only as a political milestone, but as a prophetic convergence of history, Scripture, and covenant, revealing G-d’s faithfulness to Israel and why this day still speaks powerfully to our generation.

In this teaching on Parashat Vayishlach, we follow Yaakov as he stands between exile and return—between Lavan’s slander and Esav’s approach—and discover a biblical pattern that speaks directly to the world we live in today. Drawing on the Torah, the Prophets, the words of Yeshua, the Jewish apostles, and the Chofetz Chaim, this drash explores what it means when “the faces change,” how Israel discerns shifting spiritual climates, and why the ancient spirit of Edom still stirs among the nations. It is a call to understand the times—and to cling to the G-d of Israel without fear.

In this teaching, we look at the ladder Jacob saw in his dream and the surprising detail that the angels go up before they come down. This reveals that G-d was already moving on Jacob’s behalf, even as Jacob struggled with the fallout of his deception and the tension between who he was and who he was called to be. The episode invites us to see how G-d meets us in our imperfections and leads us forward with grace and purpose.

This week in Parashat Toledot, we’re looking at a family story that’s honestly a bit messy — twins wrestling before they’re even born, parents who don’t agree, rivalry, bad decisions, and a blessing that changes everything. It’s real life. It’s complicated. And it feels a lot like the world we live in today.
But here’s the amazing part: G-d is working through all of it.Through Isaac and Rivkah’s prayers, through Jacob and Esau’s struggle, even through conflict over wells in the Land — G-d keeps moving His plan forward, step by step.

In this week’s parashah, Chayei Sarah (B'reishit 23–25), we follow the closing chapters of Avraham and Sarah’s story — a story of promises fulfilled, faith tested, and covenant hope carried into the next generation. But hidden within the narrative is another thread — the story of Hagar and Ishmael, and the G-d who both hears and sees. Their journey reminds us that divine election does not mean divine exclusion. The same G-d who chose Yitzchak for the covenant also cared for Ishmael in the wilderness. In this episode, we’ll explore how Chayei Sarah calls us to hold together faithfulness and compassion — to see others as the G-d of Avraham sees them — with eyes of mercy, truth, and hope.

In this week’s parashah, we discover that the G-d who appears is also the G-d who provides — and the One who provides is the One who tests. Vayera means “He appeared,” yet from the same Hebrew root comes Yireh — “He will provide.” In the Torah, the purpose of testing is to reveal what is in the person’s mind — to uncover the thoughts, motives, and measure of trust within. When G-d tested Abraham, He brought what was hidden into the light, revealing both Abraham’s heart and His own faithfulness. In Messiah Yeshua, the fullness of this love is made known — the One in whom G-d’s revelation and provision are complete.

In this episode, we take a closer look at the kind of love God calls us to — not one rooted in sympathy or sentiment, but in covenant partnership. We’ll explore why this matters, how it transforms the way we relate to the Jewish people, and why it’s so vital for the unity of the Body of Messiah today.
If you’ve ever felt a stirring to bless Israel but weren’t sure how to move beyond emotion into true kingdom alignment — this episode will open your eyes and deepen your walk with God.

The opening words of the Torah—Bereishit bara Elohim—still echo through creation. This episode explores what it means when G-d calls His work tov (good): creation functioning according to His intent. But what happens when humanity no longer lives in alignment with that design?
