Parashat Bamidbar: Order in the Wilderness
Parashat Bamidbar opens in the wilderness—not just as a physical location, but as a place where Adonai forms His people into a holy community. In the midst of the midbar, Israel learns to hear the voice of G-d, depend on His provision, and move from chaos into covenant order. The census, the arrangement of the camp, and the placement of the Mishkan all reveal that every person has value and that the Presence of G-d must remain at the center of the community. Bamidbar reminds us that before entering the promises of G-d, His people must first learn how to walk together under His direction and in alignment with His Presence.
